Set 3 is used for teaching words that end in the pattern CV-e (for example: "ate" and "ice"). By using the green cards from Sets 1 and 2 as the initial consonants, your students can blend many real and nonsense words that follow the Magic "E" pattern (for example: by adding the green card "r," these words become "rate" and "rice").
